Smoky Snyder riding Calico in the 1929 Stampede saddle bronc riding competition. Snyder's cowboy hat lies in the dust as Calico bucks, trying to toss the cowboy from his back. Two pickup cowboys are close by waiting to assist if needed. Cowboys can be seen in the background near the fence, standing and watching the action . The judges stand is visible on the right side of the photo.
