Description
Black and white printed photograph of the front entrance of the Stampede Corral.
The corral, a geometric, concrete and brick building, is positioned in the middle third of the photograph. The building has a large image of a saddle bronc rider imprinted in the concrete. There is snow on the ground and a tree with no leaves emerges from the left side of the photograph. There are cars parked in front of the building on its right side. There are also small wooden structures erected to the right of the corral. In the foreground, three young boys wearing pants and coats walk toward the corral. The boys on the left and right are wearing hats, whereas the boy in the middle is not.
The Stampede Corral opened in December 1950 and was used to host hockey games and other events. It was demolished as part of the BMO Centre expansion.
